UC Irvine Advocates Needed!

One day each year, UC Irvine alumni, parents and campus friends travel to Sacramento to take part in UC Day in Sacramento, where they will meet in small groups with state legislators to advocate for higher education in the state of California.

We are seeking those interested in being a part of this important event. This is an opportunity to talk to your elected state leaders about UC Irvine's important contributions in the areas of education, research and public service.

5th Annual UCI Parent's Day
Sunday, October 28, 2012
Parents Day kicks off with comments from Vice Chancellor Student Affairs, Thomas A. Parham, Ph.D., and a presentation of student talent by one of UCI's dance groups. In keeping with tradition, the faculty keynote speaker for this year will be Matthew Beckmann, professor of political science. Workshops, tours and athletic events are also part of the day.
