Liz Toomey

As the University of California, Irvine’s primary professional staff member for community and government relations, Liz is responsible for planning, directing, organizing, coordinating, and managing the staffing of local, state, federal government relations and community relations programs of the UC Irvine campus. In this role, Liz responds to inquiries for the Office of the President and directly from elected officials and their staffs, including working with faculty and administrators to analyze legislation, respond to constituent inquiries and complaints and to disseminate information from the Office of the President on legislative matters.

Liz also advises the Chancellor on campus positions and strategies related to local, state and federal legislative and community matters.
