Mark Aydelotte
Mark Aydelotte has been involved in higher education and health care public affairs for more than 30 years. He currently is the Assistant Vice Chancellor of the University of California, Irvine where he is leading the marketing efforts for a $1 billion comprehensive campaign. Prior to that he served as Associate Vice President at California State University, Fresno where he directed marketing and communications for the 22,000-student campus including projects that successfully funded a $105 million events center, a $110 million library expansion, and attracted several multi-million dollar gifts.
He served as the assistant vice president for news and communications for the entire University of California system, and led early efforts that established UC Merced, the first new University of California campus in over 40 years. Founding UC Merced Chancellor Carol Tomlinson-Keasey said Mark was one among her “magnificent seven” staff leaders who were instrumental in creating the new campus. He also worked with community colleges and hospitals in public affairs and development positions.
Aydelotte has served as a marketing, development and communications consultant for universities and colleges, national laboratories, foundations, student outreach organizations, churches and parachurch groups.
