Development

The Office of Development provides the impetus for a strong, cohesive, and ever-accelerating effort to generate public and private support along with the initiation, coordination and management of all fund-development programs for the University of California, Irvine.

Additionally, the office provides leadership, support and coordination to generate and sustain maximum private financial support for the campus’s research, teaching and public service missions through providing service to academic units, synchronizing fundraising efforts and providing resources for key initiatives.

The office is staffed to advise and assist schools, departments and centers of excellence in order to improve their success in securing greater private support through utilization of its services and is also available to consult with prospective donors or their representatives concerning gifts or bequests.

The Campaign for the University of California, Irvine

In just over four decades, the University of California, Irvine has achieved unprecedented growth and achievement and is a top-tier public university. To heighten our success in providing new research and discoveries that benefit humankind, UC Irvine is partnering with Orange County on a comprehensive fundraising campaign. This partnership will propel the campus into the top ranks of the finest universities in the west by 2015 – as UC Irvine marks its 50th Anniversary.

UC Irvine is in its second year of the “quiet phase” of its 10-year fundraising campaign, a campaign that will raise $1 billion for scholarships, fellowships, endowed professorships, new research programs and facilities, capital improvements and initiatives for public service and other key priorities.
